From 2010 to 2015, he served in the Colorado Army National Guard as Senior Information Technology Specialist with 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), and from 2015 to 2016 served as Information Technology Team Chief with 147th Brigade Support Battalion. He served three combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.
